My Garden

The sun beams down on the freshly cut grass,
Droplets on leaves shine like polished glass,
The sun-yellow dandelions prowdly face the sky
And the young rainbow coloured butterflies flutter and fly.
Every flame shaped leaf shivers on, so quietly
And the neighbours cat creeps about the garden slowly.
The speckled sparrows sweetly sing their whistling tunes
And slowly but surely the caterpillar slides out of his cacoon.
The wonderful aroma of the flowers blue, pink and red,
Was as if perfume had been sprinkled, along each flower bed.
The dainty aphids danced across the delicate roses,
But here a spotted ladybird arrives, a threat she poses.
I see a black and yellow, busy buzzing creature, it is a bumblebee,
Then I sorrowfully realise it is time to go in now for tea.
