Hello to people at URN (University Radio Nottingham), didn't realise it was such a kickass radio station. If you don't believe me, you need to go to their webpage and check out the MP3 or OGG stream.
I tried to make him gurn at the camera, but I don't think he wanted to play

Phear! You are Gigantor!

Born in 1963, You are possibly the original colossal death robot, being one of the patriarchs of the current crop, and definitely an advocate of old-skool enemy-bashing. Why use a clumsy particle weapon when you can create supernovas just by flexing your arms? Your one minor weakness is that you are entirely dominated by some kid with a remote contol - still, don't let it get you down. You can sink a nuclear submarine with jazz music.

Track of the day: Mr Scruff - Get A Move On

My dissertation sucks. A lot.
Track of the day: Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff

Turns out Mike couldn't really use the Tulip picture for the cover of Impact since it didn't work too well with all the text that also needed to be on it. I knew it would be a problem as soon as took the pic. He used another one of the photos I took instead which is quite simple, but works very well and still looks pretty cool. Here is a little preview, its gone to print and should be out in just over a week or so.
Impact: Issue 152

Track of the day: Fatboy Slim - Acid 8000

12th April 2003
printk.net was to go down today for a couple of hours for re-racking in Telehouse. 10:00 to 12:00 they said, "maybe a bit later". Our machine auto-shutdown at 10:00 and was not turned back on for another 11 hours and 48 minutes. Not Good! Especially since we still don't have our serial console hooked up, we don't know if we're on a masterswitch, and our peering interface is offline...
Track of the day: Fatboy Slim - Love Island

There is nothing short of an attack of killer tomatoes that could possibly make me miss the Matrix Reloaded, Xmen 2, Terminator 3 and Martix Revolutions at the cinema this year. This wired article and the amazing new Reloaded trailer just made sure of that.

Went to see "Cradle 2 the Grave" with Ben, Markus, Jo and Tom tonght. It was fun, even if the story, dialogue and acting was truly shocking. Well, two weeks have gone of my Easter study time. Crap. I've signed off IRC, turned off MSN, ICQ, Yahoo, and Jabber... if you need me, send me an email. Must do work now.
Track of the day: Placebo - Second Sight

Track of the day: System of a Down - Forest

1st April 2003
Got up early today and went to work with my dad. It was my mission today to find him a new car. I drove down to the local BCA (British Car Auction) to see whether there was anything interesting. There was loads of people (a bad sign, things get more expensive) but there was loads of cool cars... a TVR Tuscan, a couple of Elise S1s, a Boxster S, an XKR, BMW and Mercedes convertibles all over the place. Fun, but no Japanese automatic family cars to be seen. Back at the shop I was going through classifieds and found a couple of contenders in the Loot. At the end of the day we settled and bought a 2000 2.0 Mazda 626 Auto Hatch in a nice blue with remote locks, electric mirrors/windows/sunroof, A/C, CD player, average mileage and pretty good condition. Not too shabby. Left Harrow in the evening and got to Nottingham by a bit after midnight, in time to get to Adams birthday party! How could I miss it?
