2003

25th February 2003
Had a great productive day today, even though I had no lectures. I went to a Leadership skills workshop with the Royal Navy in our Sports Hall at 9am. It was great, I met some new people, and had a whole lot of fun doing puzzles and exercises with our group. After that, I went to campus and worked a bit more on my SEC computer, getting chrooted SFTP working and stuff. When I got chucked out, I came home, made some food and met Mike and some of his friends to head off to Music Against the Mayhem at The Social in Nottingam. It was awesome, "And the Adventures Of" are such an awesome band. There are some photos but I forgot to charge my camera, so when it all went wild and there was crowdsurfing galore, it was out of battery. Bummer.

Went to Mike, Michelle, Ruth, Bast, Dennis, & Jay's house party last night. It was pretty cool.

Urgh, so much to do, so little time. My SEC machine needs to be fully prepared by today. I need to meet up with my project supervisor, get a move on with it, do more write-up. Gotta read up on all the other modules. Oh, and do something about the whole job situation. Next week, Feburary is over. Shit.
Track of the day: Ludacris - Growing Pains

tapes are so old skool, wanna swap FLAC files? i am a mix taper

You're really enthusiastic about the music that you like. You attempt to discover your new favourite band every week. You continually try to get your friends into the music you like, which annoys the fuck out of them, but you don't know it. At least you're not arrogant about it.
Track of the day: The Reindeer Section - Last Song on Blue Tape

14th February 2003
Got a lift down to London with some friends today, I'm here for the weekend, and should be back in Nottingham Sunday evening. Its fun here so far, I'm catching up with my sisters. My little sister wrote a great poem, which is getting published in the The Write Stuff! Middlesex Vol. II poetry book (page 79). Nice one Douriya!
Track of the day: Red Hot Chilipeppers - Under the Bridge

10th February 2003
Played around with my SEC machine quite a bit today, its such a fun module. Its also important to note that: NTL SUCK. 1GB/day limit on our cablemodem 'eh? I probably went over that myself in our house of four by downloading the entire BMW Film collection (including Season 1... you gotta watch 'Star'). If you are ever a potential NTL cable customer in the near future, I have one word for you: ADSL. Anyway, I've got 12 weeks to finish my dissertation. We have an underwear error. Code brown alert.
Track of the day: Jamiroquai - Travelling without Moving

Finally got around to uploading pics from Prague. Feeling a lot better today, but still did nothing all that interesting.
Track of the day: A Tribe called Quest - Award Tour

I moved the new layout over today. Seems smoothly done. All the pages should be XHTML 1.1 valid apart from a handful of log pages that have dodgy characters in some of the URLs that are being linked to. Meh, I might fix that later. Its still kinda work in progress.

1st February 2003
We flew back from Prague today, due to land in Stansted at 0815, but there was much snow and we ended up landing at almost 10am. After a couple of coaches and a bus, I managed to get into Nottingham at 1600, which is not too bad going in the snow by road. A nice long warm shower and an early night is soo nice. I'll probably upload Prague photos some time this week.
Track of the day: Stereophonics - Nice to be out
